Railway Recruitment 2020: The North Central Railway division of Indian Railways has released a fresh notification inviting candidates to apply for the position of Apprentice.
“Applications for 196 seats are invited for Act Apprenticeship Training under Act Apprentice Act 1961 by North Central Railway, Wagon Repair Workshop, Jhansi,” read the official notification of North Central Railway.
Applications can be submitted for the same till July 15, 2020. Candidates can apply for the vacancy through the official website of North Central Railway- mponline.gov.in.

Total Posts – 196
Fitter – 90 Posts
Welder (Gas and Electric) – 50 Posts
Mechanic Machine and Tool Maintenance – 15 Posts
Machinist – 12 Posts
Painter – 16 Posts
Electrician – 12 Posts
Stenographer (Hindi) – 3
Educational Qualification:
A candidate must have passed Class 10th examination with minimum 50% marks. S/He should possess an ITI passed certificate in relevant trade from a recognised institute Industrial Training Institute affiliated to NCVT.
Age Limit for the Railway Jobs:
Candidate must be between 15-24 years of age. The upper age limit may be relaxed for five years in case of SC/ST candidates and three years for OBC candidates, respectively.
Application Fee:
Railway job aspirants will have to shell out Rs 170 while Rs 70 for SC/ ST/ PH/ Women aspirants. Candidates will have to pay the fee online.
Selection Process for Railway Recruitment 2020:
The selection of Act Apprentice will be done on the basis of merit list prepared from the list of eligible candidates. There will be no written exam or interview for selection. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in both 10th and ITI examinations.
The final select list will be prepared trade wise, community-wise, category wise, reservation wise, said the official notification.
The select list equal to twice the number of Act Apprentices slot will be prepared, i.e. main list equal to the number of Act Apprentices slot and the waiting list of the equal number of candidates, added the notification.
Candidates equal to the number of Act Apprentices slot will be called from the main list for document verification and medical examination. Thereafter, candidates equal to the number of candidates found unsuitable during document verification or medical examination or being absent will be called from the waiting list in order of merit and seniority.
The merit list of selected candidates will be uploaded on the North Central Railway’s website- https://ift.tt/3en0RWp and candidates included in the eligible list will be informed by post. No correspondence will be made in this regard with other candidates.

- Find the advertisement, “Click here for notification/manual for Apprentice recruitment under Wagon Repair Workshop, Jhansi (UP)” on the top of the page. Click on the advertisement.
- Notification will open, read it thoroughly.
- To apply enter your details and make payment.
- Click the submit button and take the print of the application form.
